Study Abroad Program
Study Abroad Opportunities for Philosophy majors
The Philosophy Department is able to offer financial support to our students who are interested in study abroad through the Wyatt Lee Martin Memorial Fund. This support may include airfare, accommodations, study experiences and educational excursions. If funds permit, students whose papers are accepted for presentation at Philosophy conferences in the US may also receive travel assistance. The grants are administered through International Programs and must be applied for following the procedures and deadlines of the IPC.
The Wyatt Lee Martin Fund was established by his parents in tribute to Lee’s passion for international travel while he earned his degree in Philosophy at UNCG. He loved to immerse himself in the cultures of the countries he visited and his family has honored his memory by endowing a fund that allows other students to do the same.
For information about the fund and study abroad opportunities, please visit the Philosophy Department in 239 Curry or the International Programs Center in 203 Foust.
