Professor Zimmerman recently retired after more than three decades of teaching and research in the Philosophy Department at UNCG. The UNCG Philosophy Department, with generous support from Kenneth Miller and the Office of the Dean of Arts & Sciences, hosted a Colloquium in Honor of Professor Michael J. Zimmerman on February 17, 2024.

Dr. Jeffrey Kaplan, a UNCG professor of philosophy, has received the 2023 CAS Dean’s Award for the Promotion of Diversity and Inclusiveness, for his project, “The UNCG Prison Education Program.”
